Sudhir Athni, MD is a Board Certified Neurologist who was raised in New York City, where he completed his schooling through high school. He attended Rice University in Houston, obtaining a Civil and Environmental Engineering degree. He completed medical school at Baylor College of Medicine (Houston, TX), followed by an Internal Medicine and Neurology Residency, also at Baylor College of Medicine and the Texas Medical Center. Since 1995, he has been the Medical Director of Neurology of Central Georgia in Macon, GA. He is an Assistant Professor at Augusta University, Medical College of Georgia. He is the President of the Georgia Neurological Society and Editor-in-Chief for the GNS annual conference. More than a physician, he considers himself an educator, having earned numerous teaching awards from Baylor College of Medicine, Mercer University, and Medical College of Georgia.
