Fernando Testai, MD, PhD is a neurochemist and vascular neurologist specialist with experience in basic and clinical neuroscience research. He is a Professor of Neurology at the University of Illinois Chicago, and the Director of the University of Illinois Health and Sciences System Comprehensive Stroke Center. His research interest lays on the identification of pathogenic processes leading to stroke and cognitive decline. He is also a member of the AHA Brain Health Committee; in his role, he contributed to different Scientific Statements related to Brain Health.
