Elizabeth Coon, MD was born and raised in Sterling, Illinois. She attended Augustana College then received her medical degree at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. Dr. Coon completed neurology residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN followed by fellowships in movement disorders and a Mayo Clinic scholar year in autonomic disorders. She is passionate about education, previously serving as autonomic fellowship director, and is the current residency program director. Her research interests include autonomic failure, history of neurology, and education scholarship. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling and running, especially with her husband and four kids.
