Deepa Rajan, MD, FAAP, FAAN, is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh and Director of the UPMC Children’s Center for NeuroGenomics. She leads clinical and research programs focused on rare neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders, including gene therapy trials for conditions like lysosomal storage disorders and leukodystrophies. Board-certified in Pediatrics, Child Neurology, and Epilepsy, Dr. Rajan has extensive expertise in neurogenetics and has received multiple awards for her clinical and academic contributions. She is also actively involved in medical education and national neurology organizations – she recently completed her term as the Chair of the Neurogenetics Section at the AAN and currently serves on the Scientific Selection Committee for the Child Neurology Society.
